Q - Does the SKIN™ fit all Linn LP12 plinth?

A – YES…Well kind of! We always ask that you provide dimensions of your existing plinth as over the years Linn have used many different suppliers for their plinths and the external dimensions have varied slightly. We can cater for all dimensions but we would rather send you a SKIN that fits first time.

Q - Does the SKIIN ™ create a resonance/rattle?

A - NO, that's why we always ask for exact measurements of the plinth being used to ensure a sung fit its achieved. The fixing of the hinge brackets adds to the integration of the SKIN ™ .

Q – Does the SKIN™ change the sound?

A – NO, the skin fits snugly over your existing plinth and rests flush on the top profile adding/detracting nothing from the decks sonic performance.

Q – Do I need any specialist tools to install the SKIN™?

A – NO, The only tool that you need is a Philips screwdriver to remove the 4 screws that secure each hinge bracket. Once removed you simply slide the SKIN™ over the top of the plinth. Once the SKIN™ is installed you then re-fit the hinge brackets. Existing holes are used in your plinth to avoid any unnecessary damage. Full step by step installation instructions are provided.

Q – Does the SKIN™ interfere with the power cable & tonearm cable?

A – NO, the SKIN™ only covers the flat sides of the plinth leaving the angled section where the cables exit from the turntable untouched.

Q – Can the SKIN™ be removed without damaging the original plinth?

A – YES, simply reverse the installation instructions and remove the SKIN™ to return the original look.

Q – Does the SKIN™ change the plinths external dimensions?

A – YES, but only subtilty as the solid wood side walls are only 3.5mm thick and the top sections are even thinner. Once installed its very seamless.

Q – Can the SKIN™ be used with 3 ^rd party plinths including the solid aluminium varieties such as Tangerine Audio, Stack Audio & Mober plinths?

A – YES, we always ask what brand of plinth you are wishing to install the SKIN™ on and provide advise appropriately regarding the installation.

Q – Will my Linn dust cover work as normal?

A – YES

Q – What wood finishes are available?

A – In addion to what is listed It is always best to get in touch regarding what other hardwoods are available. We always have a selection of native and exotic woods available with bespoke commissions also considered including RAL colour finishes.

Q – What is the timescales for delivery?

A – All SKINS™ are all made to order. We usually aim to ship the finished item within 21 days from payment. This date maybe extending depending on wood sourcing for custom builds.

Q – Do you ship internationally?

A – YES, please get in touch for an international shipping quotation. What is helpful is that the SKIN™ is much lighter than a full plinth which keeps shipping costs down.
